The eight generation of the Classic Thunderbird was produced from 1980 to 1982 and was designed to commemorate the 25th Anniversary of the famed ever popular car. While the Thunderbird Line had morphed into a full size Personal Luxury Coupe, the eighth generation was substantially redesigned, transitioning the car to the midsize segment.
The car presented at auction is an incredibly well preserved original car. The odometer shows under 19,000 original miles and every component on the car is reported to work exactly as it should, right down to the headlight doors! Upon review of the Marti Report, it is noted that this is one of only 149 Thunderbirds produced with the Polar White paint and blue vinyl bucket seat and interior trim codes!
