Gateway Classic Cars of Las Vegas is proud to present a Venetian
Honeydew 1966 Ford Thunderbird. With a soft olive interior this
coupe is a beautiful survivor that transcends all generations. The
classic swing away steering wheel, one of a kind speedometer, and a
few electric options that were years ahead of their time in 1966.
All Thunderbirds from 1966 came with the 3 speed automatic
transmission but there were a few engine options at the time, the
biggest being this numbers matching 428ci that certainly has some
get up and go for a classic Thunderbird. Ford loaded 1966 Ford
Thunderbirds with luxury, the brochures touted the T-Bird's
"Personal Touch," calling the vehicle "America's Personal Luxury
Car." Ford's designers did a bit of a nip and tuck for the 1966
models, changing the body panels up front, removing the last
vestiges of the bullet nose. They also reduced the level of chrome
quite a bit on the front end, giving the car a more contemporary
look. It's hard to argue that the 1966 Thunderbird has appeal that
continues to this day. It can be seen in greater detail including
