The roaring twenties were well underway by the time this 1927
Cadillac Model 314 was produced. If you arrived in this Cadillac
you certainly were among the many that had made it !. This
wheelbase measures in at 138 in and has an original L-head V8 .
Upgraded with a distributor to be more reliable. Its Black paint
shines up really well especially against the chrome. This black '27
Cadillac has Fisher coachwork with original wooden artillery
wheels. The car is straight and complete with many original details
in place like intricate woodwork, original chrome headlights
bearing the Cadillac emblems and decorative badging. Note the
original 1927 NY front license plate in front between the
headlights. The interior looks very original or restored many
decades ago. The intricate dash design is a reminder that this was
the height of automotive luxury in period, and the wood looks to be
in good condition. Notice the pull-down rear window shades and note
the interesting half-moon gauges and rotating drum speedometer. The
original 314ci V8 starts easily and the car is drivable with
working brakes. This engine features an L-head valve train,
downdraft carburetor, and 90 cross-plane crankshaft that produced
far less vibration than the original 180 degree flat plane
crankshaft previously employed by Cadillac.
